Summary Screen Toolbar

The Incident, Memo, and Crash main summary forms contain a toolbar with buttons to perform the following functions: Start a New Incident, Start a New Memo, Start a New Arrest (independent), Start a New Crash, Launch/Return to Watson Ticketing, and Search. Some buttons may or may not be available depending on whether the entire suite of applications has been purchased by the department (ex. The department has only purchased Watson Incident and Watson Crash. Therefore, the 'Launch/Return to Watson Ticketing' button will not be available).

Start a New Incident

Select the new Incident icon on the toolbar to launch the Incident entry wizard. After the location and officer information has been entered, the Incident summary page will be displayed with the following: Incident Details, Offenses, Complainants, Victims, Suspects, Witnesses, Properties, Drugs, Vehicles, Worthless Documents, Narratives/Case Notes, Arrest Tickets and Photos.

Start a New Memo

Select the new Memo icon on the toolbar to launch the Memo entry wizard. The Memo summary contains all the data entry elements for Memo Details, Complainants, Victims, Suspects, Witnesses, Properties, Drugs, Vehicles, Worthless Documents, Narratives/Case Notes, Arrest Tickets, and Photos.

Start a New Arrest (independent)

Select the new Arrest icon on the toolbar to launch the Arrest entry wizard. This icon should only be used for Arrests that are not related to an incident (warrants only).

Start a New Crash

Select the new Crash icon on the toolbar to launch the Crash entry wizard. After the initial crash information has been entered, the Crash summary page will be displayed with the following: Crash Details, Vehicles, Driver, Passenger, Owner, Non-Motorist, Witnesses, Other Damaged Property, Personal Statements, Diagram, Narrative/Case Notes, and Photos.

Start a Ticket

Select the new Ticket icon to launch the ticketing search screen to obtain vehicle/driver information and issue a ticket.

Find a Record

Select the Find Record icon to search for any available incident, memo or crash. This feature can be used to download a report for review, to produce a Continuation, duplicate an existing shoplifting offense or to include an Incident/Accident in an arrest ticket. Select the report type and then enter the criteria on which the search should be performed. The search will return records from the day before and after the requested search date (if available). Once the search criterion has been entered, select the 'Search' button. Any available reports will be listed in the results window. Select the desired report from the list and then choose 'Download Report' to download the report to the local machine.

Select the Search icon to search for vehicles, persons, or weapons. This feature can be used to import information into a new Arrest Ticket, Vehicle Recovery report, or Weapon Recovery report. Choose the type of search to be performed (tag, VIN, DL, SSN, Last name/DOB (TN only), Last/First name/DOB/sex (except TN), or Weapon (all states)). Enter the search criteria and then choose the 'Search' button. Results (if available) will be returned along with options for creating a specific report types from the results. This search is performed on the NCIC database and will return wants, stolen weapons, or missing persons. Any warrants that are returned are visible in the lower half of the result screen. Choose the 'TIES Response' link to view the entire result.
