Watson - Wizard Toolbar

Entry Wizard Toolbar

Each item within Incident, Memo, and Crash contains a toolbar with buttons to perform the following functions: Navigation, Save, Save and Validate, Spell Check (when available), and Delete.

Navigation

Navigate through the wizard by using the backwards and forwards buttons.

Save

Save allows the user to save without validation. Any item saved without validation will appear with a red dash next to the item title in the summary view. Items that are saved only (verses 'Save and Validate') must be validated before an Incident/Memo can be completed.

Save and Validate

Save and Validate will run the validation routine (based upon the rules of NIBRS/TIBRS/local agencies) and then upon successful validation, save it. Items that have been saved and validated will appear with an 'OK' next to the item title in the summary view.

Spell Check

Spell Check allows the user to check for spelling errors in an Incident, Memo, Arrest Ticket or Crash narrative/case note/affidavit.

Delete

The Delete button will delete the current item(s) from the report. If the item is an offense the application will check to see if the current offense is related to any other item in the report (e.g. Victim, Property). If so, the user will be prompted with the title of the item and asked to remove that link before the offense can be deleted.
