Watson Field Reporting Suite

The Watson Field Reporting suite of applications is designed to allow the user to enter as many elements as necessary to complete an Incident/Memo/Crash Report WITHOUT supplemental forms. The Incident/Memo/Crash Report summary is designed for the user to enter data from top to bottom. Features have also been included that will reduce data entry, for example: owner's fields are populated with the people involved in the incident; addresses are available in drop down lists to reduce duplication.

All data within each entry wizard is validated against the rules of Federal, State, and local rules. These rules are dependant upon the choices made as the report is entered.

Launching the Application

To launch the Watson Field Reporting Suite, use the following steps:

Handheld Device - From the 'Start Menu', tap on the 'Watson' icon
Laptop/PC - Double click the 'Watson' icon located on the desktop of the laptop/PC or click the 'Watson' icon located in the 'Start Menu' (if available).

Logging in

After launching the application the user will be prompted to login. Without network connectivity (either wireless or wired) the user cannot authenticate to the server. Officers, with a handheld device, can only login to their assigned device (on an external network) or any machine when connected to the internal network. After 3 unsuccessful attempts the user will be locked out of the application and an administrator will be notified. To regain access, the user should contact an administrator to unlock their account.

Users log in to the applications by entering their 'Login ID' and 'Password' that have been assigned by an administrator in the appropriate fields, and then selecting the 'OK' button. Contact an administrator if a successful login cannot be attained. Upon successful login, the Main Screen will appear.
